Baccalaureate 2008

Time really flies past like nobody's business...
Many times I really wonder why JC years are so short.. so little things that a class could do in this short 2 years, or maybe less than that. I could still rmb very clearly how i felt when i first stepped into ACJC. It's the kind of feeling like how a sec one kid will feel on his first day in sec sch. The kind of " yes! I know i have friends here" and also, "oh no...i really hope they are in my class". One thing i will nvr forget is that I was late on the first day of sch, coz the bus is just too packed for me to board. lol.
Do you all still rmb wad ksl told us the first day of sch?? he said, "Let the light pass through between you and your friends." haha, it's still at the back of my mind la, so u can imagine how his words can impact us so much, well, for some it may not. And after a series of talk, we were split into our OGs. Yea!! Leprachaun!!! woo...i can still rmb that our OG gathered at the back of the hall and there's only me and ping hwee from rv in that OG, but we didnt really talk much.. wad's fortunate was that my 3 OGLs were super friendly and i guess that's wad bonded me to my OG..Had my share of fun during the orientation, what abt u?
First contact time - when the 24 1SB9 young ladies and gentlemen came tgt, some previously from other classes. Went thru lectures and tutorials tgt, went to break tgt, crack jokes and made fun of each other..sometimes pon lectures tgt..the most impressive thing was that we act studied for promos tgt, helped each other out, though not all get promoted in the end, but still, the kind of friendship that was forged was never forgotten. Even during outings in our second year, we nvr forget those who are unable to be with us in class. I guess the first year in JC really made a difference in all our lives.
After Promos, came the highlight of SB9 achievement.. the whole class signed up for the annual AC Games-Floorball, Basketball, Soccer, Frisbee, Captain's ball and Bridge. What was amazing was the tenacity that we shown throughout the 2 days of games. Though faced with classes who are much proer than us, we never fail to show them the SB9-spirit by fighting hard till the last min. In the end, in all our games, we emerged top 4, with soccer 2nd and most imptly frisbee-FIRST!! (mostly coz of the 3 pro kid in the class-terry, melvin and tian loon). Nonetheless, it was still a class achievement and the class effort which eventually helped us in attaining the overall champion!! and if i'm not wrong, it also allowed us to go for our first ever SB9 outing-to the SWENSONS!! lol..
And the much hated Project Work which causes disputes in some groups. really dunno why the MOE introduce this PW into our syllabus man..it's the best way for ppl to hate each other rather than to make us learn to work with each other..well, but the latter proves to be sort of true at the VERY END of the project when we were like "phew and YAY, it's finally over!!" lol.. the most memorable thing about PW is how our class UTILISE the LT for our discussions.. the guys will bring their laptop to the back of the LT where they are totally INVISIBLE to the almighty PW teacher who only focus on the girls and they will start DOTA-ing..while the girls will do their work by discussing.. so it's like only the girls are doing the work most of the time. well, but the guys do contribute sometimes too, at least for my group, fortunately me and billy dun DOTA, so our group was alright. hee, but i still hates PW!!! it sucks!!
2nd year of JC life - started out quite sadly due to the absence of our 4 classmates. But nvm, at least we noe that we are still good friends, right? I still rmbed the day i volunteered to be the treasurer, and i tell u, i really regret that decision man.. it really made me look and seem like a perfect loanshark in the class man, going around every month asking for 10 dollars, sometimes sounding like as if i'm begging for money, and when i demanded for that 10 dollars from some of u, i seem like a loanshark..but i think at least i'm better than the sch admin staffs, LOL!! they are more like full time loan sharks and the admin office is like a full time ACJC Finance Company, sucking in money every now and then. lol..
Still rmb the Fun-O-Rama this year? Rmb how we argued about the fund-raising projects, which really piss some of us off, it's really difficult for us to reach a consensus, be it outings or such kinds of decisions. In the end, we agreed to sell bubble tea for fund raising and ramly burger on the actual day. I think Fun-O-Rama is a better way for the class to work tgt la, watching how busy every single one of us was and the drops of perspiration dripping down our chins.. at the end of the day, it was the first successful project done as a class which i think we should be proud of..right?? lol..
Now, all these memories come to an end with the baccalaureate on thurs. Usually graduation day is the most emotional day in our JC years, but somehow it wasn't how we felt on thurs. well, maybe during the worship i did feel abit emo, but after dat the fun, joy and laughter that we had just can't be described in words. Stood on the chair and sang the last song, taking our last few photos in our uniforms and with our teachers, drinking dunno fruit juice or alcohol IN SCHOOL while eating the cakes, omg..it's just too much fun that until now i still can't forget them...and somemore after that went bowling and went to kenneth's house to pool and MAHJONG-ing and PSP-ing, and suddenly i felt the warmth in this class..
To all the SB9 peeps, each and every one of u has left a footprint in my heart, the memories i had with u guys, the many brothers and sisters that i had in this class, I will never forget them.. It's really an unfortunate thing that we had to bid farewell to each other soon after the As but let's promise to meet up at least once a year so that we can keep in touch with each other yea?

A very sincere thanks to all the teachers and friends who have made a difference to my life in ACJC, be it SB9, Lifeguards or Swimming.
To all the J2s, All the best for your As and future endeavours. Thanks and I love you guys. =)
