i'm physically and mentally tired now...
just completed all my camps..
3days NPCC camp and 5days swim camp..
let's talk about the former first...
NPCC Camp 2008....
I really felt quite fortunate to be able to try 2 separate roles in the 2 atc during my CI life..
last year being the camp coordinator, i almost died of heart attack...
but this year being a group instructor, i enjoyed the time spent with my group..
first day of camp..
i was quite stunned to find out at last min that i am the only CI accompanying the cadets to the campsite...
grr...thought at least got kl and ce, but they going on the sec day...=(
but nvm la..so on the bus, got some updates on the unit from mr oh..
not bad, quite positive....
den reach the ubin jetty, found out that the no of cadets dat turned up was only 108..
so have to regroup the cadets on the spot before they start their first act which is treasure hunt..
so wanyi briefed us on the act before we were given our group...
so i was given group ONE!! which was an enthusiastic grp man...
enjoyed the treasure hunt with them...
seeing them so enthu makes me think of my sec 2 camp, where me eric yh and some others happen to be in the same grp and we were quite enthu as well...haha...
yup, so throughout the camp, though they made mistakes here and dere, but i'm really glad that they brought back with them some fond memories which they will nvr forget...just like us!! haha..
I think this year's atc allow me to have a chance to meet up with past few batches of CIs whom i nvr met before and by the end of the camp, all of us were like damn good friends and this makes me miss the camp alot, even till today...
though they were crappy and "beng", haha, but they were really nice la..will nvr forget the few "ah beng CIs" in this camp....lol...
last atc in my CI life, and maybe in my entire NPCC life...i think this camp really has allowed me to put a beautiful full-stop to my CI life and dere's one thing for sure...I nvr nvr regret being a cadet inspector..given a chance, i will be one again..thanks guys!!
Swim Camp 2008..
joined the team in feb, before the camp, most of the ppl in the team were like strangers to me..but after this camp, most of them have become my friends!! haha...
this camp ar...i must admit dat it really bond us tgt as a team, thru the telematches(GO TEAM!! haha=D) and the outing to botanic garden..
but at the end of the camp, i feel like a handicapped person...
injured my left shoulder on the 2nd day of the camp..
ok la..go thru the camp day by day...
first day...
i was like a walking zombie la, coz haven't had enough slp after the first camp...
den had trg in the morning which was like a whacking session...
den had lunch den after that had telematch..quite fun.. i think my group is the most bonded one la...got me, karen, annabel, ellie, ivan, jeremy, yonglit..den our team's name is "TEAM" haha..so funny man...den we go around saying "GO TEAM"..haha..
kae, den after the telematch was another trg...ok la..trg was as hiong as morning's one...
den at night some of us play frisbee while some do hw at the void deck...
second day....
wake up at 7..den had breakfast and went for trg..
during the trg, my shoulder starts to ache, den i thought it was just muscleache...
but after i finish the 800m, i can feel the sharp pain inside the bones..den my left arm just went numb for a moment...
so i came up and rest before going for lifeguard trg which was like immediately after the morning swim trg...
den during next trg..i somehow lost control of my left arm after doing a few sprints, so my coach just ask me to sit back and rest...
den evening trg i thought it was better so went to swim...but in the end, it just got worse and worse...
until ytd, i gave up during the lifeguard trg and really had to rest...can feel the extreme pain at the joint area and it's so pain until u can't even rotate ur arm dat kind...damn scary man...
so didnt swim this morning, just went for some light swimming and improve my plunging during lifeguard...
so in total, out of the 11 trg dat i am supposed to go for this 5-days camp, i only went for 9..=(
but well, i guess i had to really rest and let my arms recover fully before next week's trg....
dat's all for the program during the camp...happy thing is i noe and made alot of new friends in the team..
the nasty thing is i see the opposite side of the team..

PLEASE THINK BEFORE U SCOLD ANYONE!! ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE INNOCENT AND ARE TRYING TO HELP...
DON'T BE A DOG WHICH ONLY NOES HOW TO BARK AT PPL AND CREATE DESTRUCTIVE NOISE THAT PISSED PPL OFF!!!!
lucky lifeguards doesn't have so many politics probs...but well, let's see how the next com handles all this kind of probs...good luck!!
