I will nvr forget the day when 23 of us first took part in the comp..
it's like almost a week after the comp but i'm still feeling weird inside...
Let's talk abt the comp first..
in the morning, a few of us went to have breakfast before meeting in sch for the last briefing by our coaches...
took a bus tgt to NUS and we were the first team to be dere!!!
haha..
started with our warm-ups and soon more and more teams arrived...

First event for me was 4X50m obstacle relay..
it was ok i guess...i swam until i had difficulty talking when i came out of the pool..
after that was 50m manikin tow where accident happen..
for the first 25m, i really sprinted like i nvr sprint before in my entire life..
can feel the speed at which i'm going coz i was pacing an NTU swimmer beside me..
halfway when i took and surfaced the manikin, my shoulder joint jerked and i lost control of my manikin...
luckily it was within the 5m zone and i wasn't DQ coz of dat..
after that 'jerk', my speed went all the way down..drank lots of water but i have no choice but to carry on..
felt the pain so much so dat i wanna give up, but at dat time, i was focusing hard on breaking my PB
so i continued to pace that NTU guy until the flagline where the pain became so sharp dat my arm was numb and i almost DQ-ed coz of dat...
at the end-point, i had to depend on coach to carry me out of water la...terrible experience..
though didn't manage to beat my PB, but at least i get to experience it..
thanks to coach jeremy who helped me massage my injured part, i was able to go for my third event(4X25m manikin tow relay)..not bad..we were 2nd in our heats, act can get first one, but the team beside us was just too strong man..keep catching up but in the end lost by one touch...GRRRR...
fourth event, rope throw...damn disappointed...
during trg can break national record, but during comp, underperformed by alot by still managed to clinch 6th overall..=D
i think overall the guys teams and girls teams did well..
although we get an overall 7th, the experience that we gained and the friendship dat we forged will always be engraved deep in our hearts...right?

Like what coaches say, we are already champions when we step into the comp ground,
so let's not bother abt the outcome but treasure and rmb the experiences and bonds yea??

In my heart, no other CCA in the college is comparable to ACJC Lifeguard in terms of bondings and friendships. So wad if we had so many constraints...so wad if the sch doesn't recognise our efforts...who cares!!! what matters most is the unity in the cca and i believe our legacy will be passed on to the future batches to come...
I believe one day ACJC will be the champion in this comp..Just wait and see...
haha...


Now that lifeguard season is over, J2s, let's focus on our studies and mug hard ok???
