IPPT cleared!!!
first time taking an official IPPT test ever since i entered the bn.
well, it's coz of my shoulder injury that caused me to be excused from physical activities for one month, which falls on the month where all the 5 tests were held, and so, i missed all, and when ppl took their 6th test, i took my first...sad...
but the results were quite shocking sia, even i can't believe i hit all the timings, broken all my personal best record for any IPPT, and it's not just one station, but 4 stations, except chin-ups..
but compared to the others, mine is considered quite lousy, seriously...almost half of the cohort can hit below 9:14 for 2.4km run and i'm like still stuck at 10:04, hmm....lots of work have to be done to get the cdo gold man...just cut my timing by 30+ secs during today's run, so had to cut exactly 50secs to get gold...still quite far but i will work hard towards this target...
With IPPT cleared, i'm left with 35km RM next week, and ex ignite plus 72km RM the following week before i can get my beret on the 23rd oct.
Tough time really dun last, but tougher times are gonna come....
3months ago, we were still the newbies in 1st cdo bn, so afraid that dere will be turnout every night and trg would be torturous and tough, but when i look back at those times, it's actually quite silly to believe everything that the seniors told us and afraid of everything.
but it's oso coz of their words that made us work tgt to make life better for the coy, making a record of zero turn-out ever since we stepped in.
and now, we were totally like enjoying the life of an operational coy, bringing food and entertainment into the bunks, slping more(alot more) than usual...
i guess i'm too used to staying in the armskote, even when i'm resting and slping in my bunk this morning, i'm still thinking of the work that i need to do and somehow it just felt so awkward slping in the morning when usually i had tonnes of work waiting for me to do....
OH!! and i finally saw my cousin back in the battalion.
he quite poor thing sia, shoulder dislocated due to unarmed combat trg..if he hadn't called me on wed, i think i wun be able to recognise him la...lol...
though we stay in the same block in the bn, we hardly see each other and talk..and somemore he's ORD-ing end of the month....good for him...i still have around 1 year plus...HAISHHH.......
had heli-rappelling live task at jj's air base on wed oso, wow, can say it's so much more fun than jumping from an aircraft even though the height is lower than airborne.
i almost had prob rappelling down sia, coz i'm in the 1st stick and the rope like haven't warmed up yet, so damn hard to feed into the figure of eight, i see my 3 other teammates reach the ground liao and i'm still stuck in the mid-air!!!!
almost scared me to death sia, luckily it became obedient after a while and i just turbo-ed down the rope in the fastest possible speed, until my abrasion on both side of my hip bleed when i tried to brake before touching the ground.
talking abt the abrasion, damn angry man, walk 24km oso no abrasion, nothing, just a 12km fast march and my hips are full of abrasion that were slightly swollen.
didn't notice it or feel any pain until i took off my pants and the pain starts.....scream like hell when i was bathing man....damn pain...grrrrrrr.......
but well, the fast march wasn't as bad as i thought, maybe i coz i'm eating sweets along the way!!! haha....
