Firstly, i didnt noe that M Hotel is so damn nice la, me and hui qing was like "wow, wad a nice place with a strong aroma, a perfect place, i would say, to have a seminar..

Secondly, it was really an eye-opener for me, as a small little CI dere when all of them are like HOs and above...during the Q&A session, u will experience how it's like to be in the centre of a "battlefield" with lots of "arrows" directed at the heads..its damn scary i swear, even hui qing was quite stunned at the way the OCs and TOs speak. But indeed i was very unhappy with how the HQ functions, they made rash decisions and their actions were inflexible and rigid...I or in fact we are aware of this transition phase that all the cadets would be facing throughout the nation, but does that mean that u can compromise on their interest. Many OCs were unhappy with the awarding of the ATC badge to the sec 3s next year who has undergone ATC this year, i mean its like since they have gone for this year's ATC, why dun they just give them both the ATC and ASC badge next year when they complete their survival camp...on the spot, they just firmly rejected the suggestion of awarding two badges to the cadets, but after the commandant steps in, they say they will bring it back and discuss further...haix, since u all have not even come up with the new sub directives for all the badges den wad for release so much details to us and attract conflict. I think if the commandant hadn't step in, the "arrows" will just keep flying between the OCs and the heads..this is my first time witnessing such shooting stuffs among the officers, haha, but of course we will nvr show it in front of the cadets..

Despite of all this, they do have the creativity man, like using the modern railway system in this seminar...and they oso involve us in group discussions, but of course, as a small little CI dere, i just kept my mouth shut for the entire session while the OCs and Tos in my group just discuss, and it's really OCs and TOs lor, dun even have HOs..BUTTT...all of them are inexperienced one man, they all just join this corps for 1 or 2 years, and me, being attached in NP for FIVE YEARS!!!, just sat dere and laugh in my heart when they discuss, coz wadeva they say are all implemented in the unit..ya, so felt honoured to be an rvnp officer...after stoning for so long, one old OC finally realised my presence and talk to me, den ask for my suggestions, so the 2 of us begin to share our experience, but it seems like i am revealing more and more of our unit's secrets to him..

hmm, there's a section of the seminar which is dedicated to the OCs/TOs of a silver and a gold unit to share their practises in their unit...And u will be shocked that the budget of Queensway sec(silver unit) is only 2K, they spent $50 for every camp only!!! coz they ask their cadets to bring their own can food and 65% of their budget are for transport...hmm, impressive...but compare this to a gold unit like Serangoon garden sec, this is a small fry man, coz their budget was....15K!! great difference man, and this unit is mad one, got 7TOs, forgot how many HOs and 11 CIs!!! siao siao!!!! den after the meeting mr oh was like telling me, hui qing and ms khang that rvnp budget for this coming year was...22K...imagine our expression at that moment, haha, damn funny, den we ask why so much den he say coz we will be spending most of the money on overseas trip..wah, rvnp getting richer sia...but manpower side, hmm...it is really a bad news to hear that one TO is leaving us next year, so on paper we will only have 1OC and 2TO, after june dere will only be 6 CIs left, with us stepping down from our duty..**hint ar...6 ar...haha..

take note guys, next year's ATC and ATF will be quite early for Area 16 coz we are the first group next year..haha, which means we can go for both...ATF in jan and ATC in may, after our mid-year exams if i'm not wrong...and they say that they will ask all the CIs to attend a compulsory briefing on next year's sec 3 area survival camp, which is like no difference from the ATC now..should at least dump them into a jungle den let them survive there for 3 days, ar, den i wonder how that monkey gonna survive man...haha....think i very bad..but who cares..

and hor, some of the OCs were like saying that they had difficulty handling their CIs coz it's difficult to either ask them down to conduct normal parades or do some planning for their unit...no initiative all that...lucky, our unit CIs not like that one, wahaha, though we are busy with jc life, we will go down whenever we can coz all our hearts are attached to rvnp and we are willing to do anything for the unit, am i right guys? I think if they want to solve that problem, maybe they should be more strict in choosing the potential CIs-to-be, yep..

can say that i really learn quite alot from this seminar and the group discussions, nvr regret going dere, really enjoy myself, u guys should go and see how the "arrows" fly man, haha, but on top of it, i received quite alot of free gifts, haha, nice nice...

YAY!!! tmr got falcon's meeting to discuss the chalet, long time nvr see them liao, miss them alot...its nice to be with them coz i get to learn from their experience and oso share my experience with them(though this is only our first year...) See..a CI does not only command cadets lor, we need to constantly learn and improve ourselves, for me, i am still learning how to be a thinking CI and not just one who only knows how to follow...yep, for those who wanna join the CI course, think carefully, not trying to dampen ur interest, but u must noe that being a CI is not easy, dere's alot of things to do, just that u all dunno yet..be a CI only if u are ready to commit ur time and effort toward the unit...yep, lastly, it is even more challenging to be a RVNP CI...haha......
